He told Americans not to let concern about the coronavirus "dominate your life".
"I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today
at 6:30 P.M," he said.

Don’t let it dominate your life. We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge.
I feel better than I did 20 years ago
Earlier the president defended his strongly-criticised drive-by to wave at supporters on Sunday evening, saying that if he didn't do it he would have been labelled "rude".
At 3pm local time (8pm UK) the president's doctors will provide an update on his condition.
Donald Trump has announced on Twitter that he will leave the hospital where he is being treated for coronavirus, saying "don't be afraid of Covid, don't let it dominate your life!
"I will be leaving the great Walter Reed Medical Center today at 6:30 P.M. Feeling really good! Don’t be afraid of Covid. Don’t let it dominate your life,"
He tweeted,
ahead of an update due to be delivered by doctors treating him at Walter Reed Hospital in Maryland.
"We have developed, under the Trump Administration, some really great drugs & knowledge.
I feel better than I did 20 years ago!" he wrote.
White House officials said Mr Trump was anxious to be released after three nights at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center,
where doctors revealed on Sunday that his blood oxygen level had dropped suddenly twice in recent days and that they gave him a steroid typically only recommended for the very sick.
Still, the doctors said his health was improving and he could be discharged as early as Monday to continue the remainder of his treatment at the White House.
Mark Meadows, White House Chief of Staff, told Fox News earlier that the president "is ready to get back to a normal work schedule."
