Some supporters of the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, are apparently disappointed after their bid to prove that the just concluded presidential election was rigged against Mr Obi turned against them.
They built a parallel IReV portals to collate missing or doctored votes as uploaded on INEC portal. One of the sites they built could even recover deleted data.
Though their collated results showed Mr Obi leading in the poll on Thursday evening, a surprise twist occured on Friday morning, showing Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress as the clear and legitimate winner of the presidential poll.
The result collation, spearheaded by one Mark Essien on Twitter, now shows that aside any form of electoral malpractice, Tinubu polled more votes than Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Following the sudden twist against their exercise, Mr Obi’s supporters discontinued the result collation process.
Reacting, @Festus Keyamo, Tinubu’s campaign spokesman, said: “The Labour Party cry babies who earlier claimed Obi won were computing uploaded results & when they saw that @officialABAT was leading with many of his strongholds not yet in, they quickly discontinued & said they will show the results at the end.
